Why does Regain need Screen Time access?
Regain uses Apple’s Screen Time technology (specifically the FamilyControls, DeviceActivity, and ManagedSettings frameworks) to block distracting apps and websites during your focus sessions. Apple designed this framework so that we never see the names of apps you select for blocking — we only receive opaque tokens generated on-device. How do I start a focus session?
Step-by-step:
- Open the Regain App on your iPhone or iPad.
- On first launch, grant Screen Time permission when prompted. This is required for the blocking feature to work.
- From the home screen, tap Select apps to block and choose the apps and categories you want to block.
- Set your focus duration and tap Start Focus.
- The selected apps will be blocked until the session ends.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
iOS subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by Regain. You can view, change, or cancel your subscription at any time by visiting https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. On an iPhone or iPad signed in with the same Apple ID, this link opens the Subscriptions panel directly inside the Settings app.
How do I restore my purchases on a new device?
If you have an active Regain subscription and install the app on a new iPhone or iPad (or reinstall after deleting), open the in-app Settings screen and tap Restore Purchases. As long as the new device is signed in with the same Apple ID that made the original purchase, your subscription entitlement will be restored automatically.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds for iOS purchases are processed by Apple, not by Regain. To request a refund, visit Apple’s Report a Problem page at https://reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Regain subscription, and follow Apple’s refund-request flow. Refund decisions and timing are at Apple’s discretion.
